Find my snowman!DSC_0192

After half a week of snowboarding, I decided to switch gears and snowshoe! Ah how much fun. I was alone, and too be honest, in nature I don’t mind my own company. It’s such a relaxer for me!

I did a fairly straightforward 5-7 km hike. There wasn’t really too much of an elevation gain. I initially wanted to hike to McGillivray Lake (around 5+ hours) but I didn’t have the time or any food for it. Instead I just went off the path a couple times to adventure myself. At one point, because the snow is wet and doesn’t quite pack, I had my legs almost to my waist in snow. I had to do a mini tread climb to get out, but it was fun! I forget how much I enjoyed hiking until hiking again.

I’m going to miss the closeness to nature when I’m back in the city, but I can’t wait to sleep normal hours again.

  2. Anywhere near mountains or the ocean! Or anywhere where I can experience a new culture. Happy travels!

  3. Awesome! How are you able to travel so much? Is it your job or something?
