I miss this beautiful coast already and I haven’t even left yet. The thing is, I really think I’ll be back. I’ve told my family and friends that if the right opportunity knocks at my door, I won’t hesitate to move back here.

Last Sunday I went for a hike with friends to Squamish (which is halfway between North Vancouver and Whistler). The hike started out with the Chief trail but we bridged off to Upper Shannon Falls. It was a beautiful drive to being with on the Sea to Sky Highway. We couldn’t have asked for better sunny and warm weather. The forest, waterfalls and views were incredible. It really put the Grouse Grind to shame. It was a 5 hours hike. It was semi-challenging with occasional steep climbs, but overall just right for our group of friends.

For me hikes and being outside are such an energizer – nature is a spirit lifter, connecting and calming my soul. I just want to keep hiking. Go on more adventures. Connect with people and nature. I want to learn new things and grow.
