A several more photos of my short time in Bath. The latter half the day we continued to walk around the town, strolling slowly and basking in the sun that made everyone else seem so alive.
I was really interested in seeing the main Campus of the University of Bath. There is a rich history to the univserity with close ties to Bristol. We took a bus to the campus since the grounds of the school are perched on top of a hill. When I first arrived on campus, I was surprised at how modern looking the building were in contrast to the old architecture in the town. The University is compact, and the main buildings and grounds are connected together, separate from traffic.
Hiroyuki was so kind and made reservations for us at an Italian restaurant called Sotto Sotto, awarded Best Italian Restaurant in Bath at the Bath Good Food Awards. The food was a great value and reasonably priced, and I walked out completely stuffed of delicious pasta and pizza. I had the linguine king prawns with olives and sundries tomatoes in napoletana sauce. To be honest the portions were so generous we nearly didn’t finish our meal.
I’m thankful for friends who are motivated and driven by their passions. Grateful to share in conversations and tasty food with Hiroyuki and looking forward to keeping up with his life and career as he goes on to change the world!
