Hiking through fog and clouds is a totally different experience. It brings a whole new perspective and with that new challenges. All you can see is the trail several feet in front of you; the focus shifts from vast landscape to the scenery around you. It’s easy to be distracted, and of course lost… thankfully I didn’t have to worry about the latter. The walking trail was pretty paved until getting closer to the submit.
The air is calm. If you’re not worried about time, it’s quite relaxing to slow the pace and enjoy your time having fog whisk around you. At the top I was above the cloud line. It felt like I was in a completely different place. It was so neat to see the clouds below me like a thick sheet of ground. It was too bad that there wasn’t a break in the clouds so I could see below.
