Aoyama Flower Market and Cafe

Asia, blog, Tokyo, Japan, Travel

Is there a job were people pay you to go to cafes and enjoy books (while subconsciously reviewing the cafe and writing about it later?) If there’s such a job posting, please help a girl out and let me know because it would be a dream job.

I was enchated by this cafe called Aoyama Flower Market Tea House located in Omotesando in Tokyo. The front half of the shop is a beautiful flower shop, filled with aromas and colours. While the back, somewhat hidden, is a cafe. The whole store resembles an indoor greenhouse with the lighting and greenery blooming in every corner. The cafe is decorated with the flower of the season and there vines were other plants and flowers grow and hang off.

Aoyama Flower Market Tea House unique blends of tea and I tried the Refresh Blend, which is a blend of five different herbs – rosemary, lemongrass, lemonbalm, spearmint, and pineapple-mint. Everything looked like it was just picked out the garden and pressed into an aromatic tea. There is a popular Ispahan tea blend, which combines rose, Jasmine and Violet. They have descriptions in the menu as well, explaining what the different blends can do for you.

A quick walk from the station, if you’re ever feeling like you want to treat yourself to something special and relax or read over tea – this is the place to wander to in Tokyo.
